Badly managed property by Greystar. Don't move here! The manager, Beth is extremely unprofessional and it is impossible to reach her if you have an issue. The noise from the restaurant is excessive at night. They nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING! Building construction is poor and you can hear your neighbors. MY account has been messed up every month and they do nothing! Don't get scammed by the bait and switch this place is a sham!

Neighborhood: The building locations are in close proximity to the train station and the waterfront. This is a huge upsell and is the managements sole focus when trying to lease you a unit. What isn’t mentioned, is the buildings are all part of a gentrification effort in the area and that most of the displaced people from this effort are all still living and working in and around this area. This includes a large presence of homeless people, drug addicts, and people hanging out on the corners. There is also a homeless shelter that shares the corner of the parking lot and park area. This is important as walking through or walking your dog in the little park area at night is a “high caution” type of activity. On any given day, you can watch the drug dealers roll up the corner and make quick exchanges. This is a lovely site while you’re taking a morning jog. These types of people are walking in and around your building on a constant basis so if you’re OK with this type of environment then it won’t be a problem (I’m a 6 foot – 220 lb. male and even I would take caution when outside at night.) I think the most important piece of information about the neighborhood is the following; during my as a resident, I became good friends with 2 Stamford police officers, at the local gym. They both warned me about the false sense of security the new buildings provide. They both cautioned my wife and I not to roam around our neighborhood at night and to be aware of our surroundings at all times. During the time, we were living there, there were 2 gun battles 1 block away at the corner market. Both resulting in fatalities. As well as a rape at the park down the street. This is really bad news if you have a dog who needs to go for walks at any given hour of the night to use the bathroom.
Building Labeling: Sometime in 2016 management decided it would be a good idea to rename the building from the “Lockworks” to “121 Towne St”. This would be fine, if the address of the building wasn’t actually 119 Towne St. This is not convenient when you have people coming to visit or a delivery driver is trying to find you. Be prepared to meet everyone who’s coming to your apartment for the first time, outside on the street. This is especially great after 5pm when there isn’t any parking for them.
Appliances/Fixtures: The appliances used are mostly bottom of the line. The garbage disposal doesn’t have the strength to shred a lemon. The dishwasher broke 3-4 times during our lease including the unit was mounted incorrectly in the cabinets which made closing it a hassle. The air handler filter was only changed once in 26 months which is recommended to be completed every 3 months by the manufacturer. The master shower tub had a violent plastic creak to it which blasted out every time you shifted your weight in the shower. The drains were constantly clogged in the bathtub and sinks and required maintenance to fix every couple of months. Overall sub-par all around with every mechanical object in the Apt.
Lease: If you do decide to enter into a legal contract with a management company of this caliber then please be warned to read the finer print of your lease prior to moving in and moving out. There are hidden fees regarding sufficient notice, post cleaning and many others that you need to be fully aware of. We were victims of these nonsense clauses and so will you. Do not expect any consideration for being a good tenant as management is clearly waiting in the bushes hoping you slip up so they can generate extra revenue for the company.

BEWARE of renting here. management is ruthless, building is a disaster, neighborhood is as unsafe as it gets. The newness of the building is a false sense of security. Shootings daily in the neighborhood. Half way house shares the park the building is in. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK

My boyfriend and I lived here for 10 months and at first it seemed like the perfect apartment complex.. Until you actually need help or assistance from the front desk who gave us FALSE information! We decided to break our lease and talked to Kenya at the front desk multiple times making sure we did everything the right way so we would not get charged a fee!! She assured us we did all the right moves, payed all our bills and we were free to go. We have been out for a month now and a nasty unprofessional woman Denise, calls us stating that we owe $2,000 .. even though this was miscommunication between the front desk and cooperate they are blaming us, making us responsible for the $2,000.. I would never refer or recommend these apartments for rent! The employees and staff are rude, misleading, and uneducated at there jobs!

The new building had issues with the maintenance crew having to repair the balcony, etc and they come and go in your apartment whenever they feel like it and leave a mess behind them. Also when it comes to move out be extremely careful. They will find anyway possible to not return your security deposit. They will also continue to charge you rent even after move out also saying your notice wasn't adequate. I've rented apartments before and never have I experienced anything like this. I'll also mention I paid every payment on time and left the apartment immaculate upon move out.
