Comfort Inn I-70 Near Kansas Speedway

We stayed one evening as we were traveling through. The hotel staff was very friendly in the evening when we checked in and when we left. Area felt reasonably safe and great accessibility to I-70. Room was a standard double queen. Beds were true queen beds & comfortable. Room was clean and heating unit was reasonably quiet. Bathroom was dated but functional. Towels were good size. Breakfast was very good and a pleasant surprise. This is a good travel through hotel.

The room was clean and service was good. We had an issue with the remote control which was taken care of quickly. There was a spot by the window where the floor was really saggy and soft. Our biggest disappointment was that the pool was under maintenance. Had I known, we probably would have cancelled. Also, the exercise equipment was in poor shape. The elliptical was not plugged in and the treadmill was terribly worn and was sluggish. I was also very confused on the charges. I understand charging more for a one or two night stay over a weekend, but our stay was 4 days including the weekend and we paid 4 different rates. I would think it would be more beneficial and more competitive to have a single charge for those with longer stays. (Less confusing for the guest, also).

I DO NOT recommend staying here! Front desk was not friendly, rushed us and put us in a room we did not like on the 1st floor. We heard guest upstairs sounding like elephants and people in adjoining room (not part of our party) having "relations", therefore, you can hear noise all around you. Called the front desk to complain, as next door couple was waking up baby, he called their room, didn't help, we ended up leaving and not staying there for the night. Once we tried to call about a refund, we got the run around for 2 days, then charged our card twice! Eventually they got it right and refunded money, but that was after days of reaching out.

Good deal for the price. Arrived late, and left early, so essentially just slept there. Staff was your typical overnight shift, cheap, middle-of-nowhere hotel type: didn't make eye contact, didn't get off their phone the whole interaction, didn't make any extra effort to make you feel welcome- but got you what you needed. Hotel was a bit run down, but rooms were clean and updated. The AC/heat unit kind of sucked and the bed was terrible, but again it was a good deal for the price. Would stay again.

Located one exit east from I-435 on I-70. I had an issue with cleanliness in 1st room; we were changed to another quickly. The free breakfast is pretty good and has more choices available than most
