I used this company to inspect what was supposed to be our dream home. While the inspector did find quite a few minor issues, he missed some major ones. The basement was half finished, so it was impossible for him to see the multiple cracks and leaking rod holes behind the finished portion. However, when we went in to do the inspection last summer, I asked him why it smelled so musky in the basement. His response was that it was fresh paint. Behind the finished portion of the basement, there was noticeable water stains on the ground. Turns out the basement was infected with black mold and multiple leaks. Shortly after moving in, we were able to see water flowing in from the foundation and down to a visible drain in the basement. We had to have the basement demolished and have the whole house treated for the mold. It has been non-stop expense after expense. The floors also are sloping upstairs. To my fault as well, we did not notice that. When the owner of the company came out to address my concerns, he pointed some things out to the inspector that he should have noticed as signs. A few days later, after I followed up with them, I received a refund check for the original inspection ($335). I then finally got final word from them apologizing and stating that they refunded my inspection cost for the inconvenience.
We spent $290,000 on this home, and now we have a shell of what it was because of major issues that were not found by Home Inspection "Professionals". Do not use this company. On top of the basement costs, we now have to get added support to the main level flooring to stop the sagging. Also, we have to refinish the basement ($33,000) since we bought the house with the extra living space. The next step has already been taken with an attorney to hopefully rectify this situation.

I cannot give praise enough to Home Inspection Professionals. Kevin is a straight-forward, honest guy who is good to have in your corner on an inspection. He is always on time, if not early & is the most thorough inspector I know of. I HIGHLY recommend Home Inspection Professionals to ALL of my clients because I trust him, his team & their work. He saved me $10,000 on my home inspection! I used his inspection to renegotiate the price I offered after sharing the details to the sellers.
From scheduling, to follow up calls, emails & all the way to the inspection, his team is your one-stop for the best inspection available. Thanks Tina, Ben & Kevin!

Kevin is a nice enough guy however he failed to ascertain that the furnace in the home he was inspecting had two cracks in the heat exchanger which can be very dangerous. To his credit, he did indicate to me that the furnace was past its average life expectancy however he also told me it was in working condition on the inspection which it was not. I ended up having to purchase a new furnace within the first month of buying the home which I did not expect or have the money for so I am upset. I knew that I would need to get a new furnace in a year or two since it was older but honestly I wouldn't have purchased the home had I known that I would have to make such a large investment right away either. I've also come to the conclusion that it is not difficult to inspect the heat exchanger either, the furnace company I called out to check it out was able to show me the cracks within five minutes with their camera. Considering that the heat exchanger is one of the most integral parts to a furnace I feel that this should have been inspected otherwise what is the point of hiring an Inspector? To make matters worse, Kevin has not returned my call to discuss the matter. Its important to call your customers back to discuss the topic if they're not satisfied with the services you rendered.
